1. Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286)

Allah does not burden a soul beyond that it can bear. It will have [the consequence of] what [good] it has gained, and it will bear [the consequence of] what [evil] it has earned. Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we forget or make a mistake. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.

Explanation:

This verse reassures believers that Allah, in His infinite wisdom and mercy, does not place a burden on a person greater than they can handle.

It highlights the compassionate nature of Allah, reminding us that any trial or challenge we face is within our capacity to overcome.

2. Surah Al-Imran (3:173)

Those to whom hypocrites said, “Indeed, the people have gathered against you, so fear them.” But it [merely] increased them in faith, and they said, “Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.”

Explanation:

This verse showcases the unwavering faith and courage of true believers in the face of threats and intimidation. Instead of succumbing to fear, their faith in Allah grows stronger, and they rely on Him entirely. This verse is a powerful reminder of the strength that comes from trusting Allah, emphasizing that He is the ultimate protector and planner.

3. Surah At-Tawbah (9:51)

Say, “Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.” And upon Allah let the believers rely.

Explanation:

Here, the Quran teaches believers to accept whatever befalls them as part of Allah’s divine plan. It reinforces the idea of divine protection and encourages reliance on Allah in all circumstances. This acceptance of Allah’s decree and reliance on His protection provides inner peace and strength, knowing that everything happens for a reason.

4. Surah Al-Fath (48:4)

It is He who sent down tranquility into the hearts of the believers, that they would increase in faith along with their [present] faith. And to Allah belong the soldiers of the heavens and the earth, and Allah is Knowing and Wise.

Explanation:

This verse emphasizes the divine tranquility that Allah bestows upon the believers, which strengthens their faith even further.

The concept of divine support and the vastness of Allah’s dominion (soldiers of the heavens and the earth) serve to comfort and empower believers. It reassures them that their faith is supported by the immense power and wisdom of Allah.

5. Surah Al-Anfal (8:17)

And you did not kill them, but it was Allah who killed them. And you threw not, [O Muhammad], when you threw, but it was Allah who threw that He might test the believers with a good test. Indeed, Allah is Hearing and Knowing.

Explanation:

This verse speaks about the divine assistance provided to believers during battles. It underscores that the true strength and success come from Allah.

Even though believers may act, it is ultimately Allah who grants victory and support.
