“There shall be no compulsion in [acceptance of] the religion. The right course has become clear from the wrong. So whoever renounces taghut and believes in Allah has certainly grasped the firmest handhold with no break in it. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.”

Surat Al-Baqarah (2:256)

“The month of Ramadan [is that] in which was revealed the Qur’an, a guidance for the people and clear proofs of guidance and criterion. So whoever sights [the new moon of] the month, let him fast it; and whoever is ill or on a journey – then an equal number of other days. Allah intends for you ease and does not intend for you hardship and wants for you to complete the period and to glorify Allah for that to which He has guided you; perhaps you will be grateful.”

Surat Al-Baqarah (2:185)

“And [mention] when Allah took a covenant from the Children of Israel, and We appointed twelve leaders among them. And Allah said, ‘Indeed, I am with you. If you establish prayer and give zakah and believe in My messengers and support them and lend Allah a good loan, I will surely erase your misdeeds and admit you into gardens beneath which rivers flow. But whoever of you disbelieves after that has certainly gone astray from the sound way.'”

Surat Al-Ma’idah (5:12)
